Francis Rossi, born on May 29, 1949, is an English singer, songwriter, and musician, best known as the co-founder, lead singer, and lead guitarist of the rock band Status Quo.
He has been the only constant member of Status Quo since its formation in 1962.
Rossi is known for his distinctive voice, distinctive style of playing guitar and his work with Rick Parfitt, his long-time bandmate in Status Quo.
He has co-written many of the band's most successful songs, solidifying his place as a significant figure in British rock music.
Beyond Status Quo, Rossi has also released solo albums and collaborated with other artists.
